Economy of Language

• Always aim to write the most meaning using the least number of words
• Avoid wordiness and awkward phrasing by avoiding purple prose (lots of "big"/sophisticated words where more direct ones will do. This does not mean you should sacrifice sophistication of language. There is a balance to be struck.
